Our Three-Year Plan

Mano Extendida PR is building pathways for Puerto Rican families to stay, build, and thrive.

Over the next three years, we will focus on launching and testing practical initiatives that strengthen entrepreneurship, create jobs, and support community resilience throughout Puerto Rico.

We believe lasting transformation happens when local leaders are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities needed to create change within their own communities.

What Success Could Look Like

Our vision includes:

100 Entrepreneurs Equipped

Through training, mentorship, and business development support, we aim to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into sustainable businesses.

100 Jobs Created or Supported

As businesses grow, they create opportunities for families, strengthen local economies, and help communities retain their next generation of leaders.

Stronger Food Security

By encouraging local agricultural entrepreneurship and food production, communities can become less dependent on imported goods and more resilient during times of disruption.

Greater Energy Resilience

We hope to support future community-based energy initiatives that help neighborhoods become more stable and better prepared for outages and emergencies.

Faith-Driven Community Leadership

We believe churches, nonprofits, and community leaders play an important role in creating healthy communities. Our goal is to equip leaders who are committed to serving both people and place.

Why This Matters

When communities gain access to opportunity, families become stronger.

When entrepreneurs succeed, jobs are created.

When jobs are created, fewer people feel forced to leave.

When people stay, communities flourish.

Our goal is not simply to solve problems.

Our goal is to help create a future where Puerto Ricans can build meaningful lives, support their families, and thrive on the island they call home.

The People Behind the Mission

Imagine a young entrepreneur in Camuy launching a coffee roasting business that creates local jobs.

Imagine a farming family expanding production and providing fresh food to their community.

Imagine a solar technician building a business that helps neighborhoods become more energy resilient.

Imagine a young adult choosing to stay in Puerto Rico because opportunities exist at home.

These are the kinds of leaders, families, and communities Mano Extendida PR exists to support.

Together, we are building reasons to stay.
